What's a Yooper?
Yoopers are people who live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan between the shores of Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron. This diverse geographical area is known by the locals as "The UP", hence the name Yoopers.
They all come from good stock, are friendly, and possess a good sense of humor. Most don't mind jokes about themselves, many of which are nationality based but usually cross ethnic lines. These postcards are based on that collective body of mirth.
